Hardcover. Condition: good. Presumed First Edition,Later printing. 138, illus., 5 folding plates at rear, synoptic outline, index, some discoloration at rear endpaper, boards somewhat worn and soiled. One of the Harper's Geoscience series. Maclean, later to gain fame as the author of A River Runs Through It, was teaching at the Institute at the time, apparently formed as part of the war effort. This appears to be Maclean's first book publication.

Light soiling and wear to exterior, stray mark to upper front near spine; interior age toned, name of previous owner to ffe, otherwise unmarked. A very good minus copy.
