Hardcover. Condition: Very Good-. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good-. Not Stated. Circa 1970 reproduction of the1885 original. It is interesting that the book list "SBN" as 723205884, which would suggest a 1970 date, but the jacket has "ISBN" 0723205884 which would have been a few years later. There are no writing or ownership artifacts in the book, and the dust jacket is unclipped. Edmund Evans Limited is still credited with the engraving of the wood block designs. The pages have lost their crispness and give the impression of being wellread, although they are clean. The dust jacket is missing a one inch piece at the foot of the spine, and there is a 1.5 inch tear in the lower front corner. These flaws are muted by the fact that the boards are in the same pattern and colour as the jacket. Decorative endpapers and endearing children in pretty outfits grace the brown printed verse. Her work still displays considerable charm.
