During these eight years, Thesiger visited nearly every village with his medicine box and his team of canoemen and got to know these people and their way of life imtimately. The book is also illustrated throughout with 110 black and white photographs taken by Thesiger. In fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is a small indentation to the top edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket is in very good condition with a crease to the front cover, nibbling to the top edge of the front cover, nibbling to the top edge of the spine, a crease to the top of the back cover and a small sticker to the back cover. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box.
