Very gently bumped spine head and tail, and with sharp corners. 12.75 x 10.25 inches. Volume II with 339 numbered pages, and with xiv color plates and with 677 monochrome plates of Chinese, Korean, Japanese and other Asian arts. All plates and illustrations on a semi-glossy coated heavy-weight stock. An immensely clean volume, inside and out, and rather tight. No remainder marks. Either unread or very gently read. No dustjacket. A Near Fine copy. This is the best condition we have ever encountered for this volume. This book was issued to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Mayuyama Asian arts and antiques shop by the founder, Matsutaro Mayuyama. The shop was first opened in Beijing in 1906 and then moved to Tokyo in 1916. The principal business of the shop is and always has been the collection and sale of old Chinese ceramic objects.
