Mottled gray spots are along and on the cover's gutters, the boards' top edges, and a little on the front board's top and bottom ends. The free endpapers have tape stain. The boards have tape debris. The pages have a light, musty odor. DJ: The corners of the flaps are clipped. A corner of the back flap has tape stain. The reverse side has four darkened spots because of being adjacent to the tape on the cover. The spine panel has a crease line. A light, bend line is across three panels. Photographic illustrated dust jacket featuring a hand with revolver facing dexter. The top and bottom corners of the front fold over flap have been clipped, but a price of $2.95 is at the top right-hand corner as published. Trace of flecking to the top of the front panel, and a shadow of water damage to the bottom edge of the rear panel without any "actual" damage. There is colour transferred to the verso of the dust jacket. The dust jacket is lightly rubbed across both top and bottom edges, and has on the bright spine section between the title and the publisher, a white patch probably from the removal of a sticker measuring approximately half an inch by a quarter of an inch.
