About this Item: Dial Press, New York, 1967. Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. First US edition, first printing (stated). A fine book in fine dustjacket with a bit of rubbing at the spine tips, one short closed tear (about 1/2", next to invisible) and (possibly!- it is hard to tell) a tiny bit of fading to the spine. Both book and jacket (in hot pink and purple) have a cool, 'psychedelic' vibe (jacket design attributed to "La Liberte" , whoever or whatever that is), perfectly suited to its' publication year - 1967). The combination is bright and attractive, all the more so for being in such clean, fresh condition. Included are critical essays by 29 contributors (Susan Sontag, Dwight McDonald, Tom Wolfe, Jonathan Miller - to mention a few) with McLuhan's responses. Edited by Gerald Emanuel Stern, who conducts a long interview with Marshall McLuhan at the end of the book. Includes an 8 page selected bibliography of the writings of (Herbert) Marshall McLuhan.
