Siglo XX] "Born in Huetamo, Michoacan 3 July 1918, Francisco González Pineda studied medicine at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and then received his doctorate at the Sorbonne. He received a fellowship to specialize in psychiatry in Washington, DC from 1948 to 1952. In that field he made invaluable studies of the Mexican personality. He returned to Mexico and became a professor on the psychology faculty at the Universidad Iberoamericana. As an author he became well known for his work in psychology: El mexicano. Su dinámica psicosocial y El mexicano. Psicología de su destructividad. In these he analyzed the destructive tendencies of the Mexican psychology, his propensity for lying and aggression. In Mexican folklore, full of phantasmagoria and superstition, it can be affirmed that he lives in an unreal world from which he has not been able to escape. These are worthwhile themes for analysis and reflection. Todo el tiempo es mañana is a novel which Gonzalez Pineda says would not fit in the usual analytical strictures and which can be expressed only through literature. This work shows some of the reasons for the disintegration of certain Mexican families who have lost their point of reference of traditional values and principles.". Seller Inventory # 000509
