About this Item: Covici Freide, (1934)., New York:, 1934. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Touted as "the first full-length scenario for an actual talking picture production to be published in book form." If not the first screenplay to published in book form, certainly among the very earliest. INSCRIBED TO A MAJOR BOOK COLLECTOR BY FOWLER, "To that assidious and clever collector, and my friend as well, Earle Bernheimer. Gene Fowler 1947." Illustrated with stills from the movie starring Wallace Beery as P.T. Barnum and featuring Adolphe Menjou. Very good or better in good dust jacket with a few chips and spine a little darkened and with closed tears backed with acid free archival clear tape, Seller Inventory # 54677
