Clean pages with light tanning and foxing to text block edges. Binding is firm throughout with minor thumb-marking. Heavier tanning to free endpapers. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends. Lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Visible wear marks to boards.

More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Light cracking and visible staining to gutters but binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with noticeable tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.
