About this Item: New York, The William-Frederick-Press, 1960. 305 p., many b/w- photos, drawings, illustrations. Charles Eisler, a Hungarian immigrant (b. 1884) was a skilled mechanic and engineer who in 1920 founded his company, Eisler Engineering Company of Newark, New Jersey, which manufactured equipment for producing electric lamps, television and radio tubes, welding equipment and laboratory equipment. An appendix of about 50 p. describing the technical development of his business, and the reproduction of an article published in the Dec. 1916 issue of "Machinery" (9 unnumbered p.) describing Tungsten Lamp Manufacture, complete the autobiographical part. - Ex-library copy, small stamp on title page. Top corners slightly bumped, otherwise very good. - Signed and dated Sept. 27, 1963, and another signature with dedication on label glued onto endpaper (looks quite good).
