Contains 10 color lithograph plates. Ex-library, and stamped as such on page edges, with bookplates on endpapers, but only the title page and following page marked within the text with a small stamp of five numerals in the bottom margin. Geology, mineralogy, mines and mining in Britain and around the world. Cover cloth light soiling and puffing; corners lightly bumped; leather spine rubbed, small nicks, colors still bright; small tears bottom of both gutters. Binding very good, tight, book cocked slightly forward. Endsheets have been replaced (front pastedown has outline of likely a bookplate underneath.) Medium foxing and age-stain to title page and to edges and blank verso of several plates. Text quite clean except pages adjoining the aged plates. Size: Small 4to - 10 1/2 " tall.
