Item Description: H F & G WITHERBY, London, England, 1928. Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. W WOODHOUSE (illustrator). Soiled red cloth covers with bumped, curled and chipped corners; stained spine with gilt lettering, slight fading, and a small hole at end of the word 'Eater'. Tanning to end pages. A book-seller and publisher's stamp at bottom of inside front cover. Penned name and date on first free page, and penciled numbers and name at top of next page where the hinge is loose. Occasional foxing and some pages are a little dirty. Illustrated. Hinge is also loose between pages 48 and 49, 64 and 65, 128 and 129; 144 and 145; 208 and 209. End pages have deckled edges and some are unevenly cut. Tissue guard to frontispiece is torn at bottom spine. Bookseller Inventory # 001087
