About this Item: ReInk Books, 2017. Softcover. Condition: NEW. Reprinted from edition. NO changes have been made to the original text. This is NOT a retyped or an ocr'd reprint. Illustrations, Index, if any, are included in black and white. Each page is checked manually before printing. As this reprint is from very old book, there could be some missing or flawed pages, but we always try to make the book as complete as possible. Fold-outs, if any, are not part of the book. If the original book was published in multiple volumes then this reprint is of only one volume, not the whole set. This paperback book is SEWN, where the book block is actually sewn (smythe sewn/section sewn) with thread before binding which results in a more durable type of paperback binding. It can also be open wide. The pages will not fall out and will be around for a lot longer than normal paperbacks. This print on demand book is printed on high quality acid-free paper. About this Item: The Reilly & Lee Co., 1929. Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. William Donahey (illustrator). 1st Edition. This offering is an older copy of Miss Minerva's Neighbors written by Emma Speed Sampson and illustrated by William Donahey. The book was published by The Reilly & Lee Co. in 1929 and appears to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. It is not an ex-library copy and is in good + condition but has no dust jacket. The book is 5" by 7 3/8" and has 327 pages with larger print for an older primary student and black-and-white illustrations throughout. This IS a book for the collector; it's in beautiful shape for nearly 90 years of "life" though the pages ARE beginning to yellow and it DOES have the name of a previous owner on the half-title page. (Truthfully, I'd be reluctant to give it to too many "older primary" students.) Warning . . . the Miss Minerva series is NOT politically correct. Black dialect of the times and language of the times are evident throughout. Thank you!. Seller Inventory # 008047
