Front cover has red, black and white illustration of a girl on a horse. Black and white interior illustrations by J. Watson Davis. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with minor fraying at tips. Back cover has a scratch and some wrinkling of the cloth, with light soiling. Some pages have small faint brown shadows where four-leaf clovers were pressed between the pages. One pair of pages has a small darkened rectangle at the top where something of low-quality paper was stored. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked. 191 pages; Miss Toosey's Mission, pages 1-92; Laddie, pages 93-191. 22-page publisher's list at back. No dust jacket. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
