Some mild toning and foxing to spines of jackets, with light nicking and bumping to extremities of jacket. 3 x 1 cm chip to head of front panel of jacket of Volume II, and a short 2 cm closed tear to tail of rear panel. The volume number has been written in black marker by a previous owner at the upper corner of the front panel of each volume. Some light rubbing and a few bumps to spine ends and corners of boards of both books. Endpapers have just a few freckles of foxing, and the words 'a set' have been written on the upper corner of both front free endpapers. Interiors are otherwise clean and unmarked. Bindings firm.
