Item Description: Momart, New York, 2007. Book Condition: Near Fine. Lidded white box (oblong, 12.5 by 9 inches), "Sarah Lucas Perceval Momart Christmas Gift 2007" faintly lettered on lid. Contains one glossy heavy cardstock leaf, with full-color photographic reproductions of Perceval, shown from 4 angles, with tiny circles indicating where the images should be pierced for hanging; with a needle for piercing; and silver wire. Also includes two brown paper leaves: One, printed in red and black, and folded once into a pamphlet, tells the story of Perceval (Parsifal). The other, a 4-panel accordion fold, with illustration of twisting wire printed in black on first 3 panels, and handwritten text on the final panel (in pencil), "Here supplied is a plan for the mobile. The aim is to get the horses reasonably balanced and not bumping into each other. With these considerations in mind, thread and wire lengths can vary. Also, one long wire can suffice. Or, whatever you fancy." Perceval is the artist's first work of public art, displayed in New York at 60th Street and Fifth Avenue, Central Park, 11 November 2007 to 1 May 2008. Box a little scuffed, contents are fine. Uncommon. Bookseller Inventory # D6180

Item Description: Momart, London, 2009. Leporello in a Printed Box. Book Condition: As New. First Edition. One continuous 2 x 38 ¾" cardstock leporello printed color offset, recto only folded in tenths to make 2 x 3 7/8", 10 color illustrations. Momart is a London-based company specializing in the storage, transportation, and installation of works of art. Each year they commission a British artist to produce a multiple that is distributed hors commerce by the firm as a holiday gift. "Catherine Yass' images often suggest glimpses of memory and half-realized dreams which metamorphose depending on interpretation. The initial reading of "Bike" is one of serenity; the light reflecting off the water, the leaf lingering on the surface as it travels sequentially from frame to frame through the series of images. On closer inspection the disjointed shapes below the surface of the water reveal a discarded bike, contorted and submerged. In these images a personal narrative hints at issues of consumerism, environment, and abandonment whilst a sense of detachment is illustrated through the edited stills captured using the mechanical eye of a camera". Issued in 2009, Catherine Yass' artist book "Bike" takes the form of a tiny leporello housed in a printed cardstock portfolio with magnetic closures. A pristine example of this uncommon, unnumbered artist's multiple in the publisher's cardboard shipping box along with Momart's accompanying two-page printed documentation, as issued. Artist's Multiple. Bookseller Inventory # 025557

Item Description: Momart, London, 2008. Cast Plastic Sculpture. Book Condition: As New. First Edition. One 5 x 2 x 1 ½" plastic sculpture.Momart is a London-based company specializing in the storage, transportation, and installation of works of art. Each year they commission a British artist to produce a multiple that is distributed hors commerce by the firm as a holiday gift. "Richard Hughes makes intricate illusions that trick the viewer while, at the same time, laying their artifice bare. His sculptures and installations resemble the aftermaths of good times gone sour. Bags of jettisoned old clothes, rising damp, burnt-out hedges and surreptitious bottles of urine-dog-end residues which hint at elaborate histories. Culturally specific, his works tap into shared memories and the bittersweet feelings reserved for things past their best while revealing themselves to be shams". Issued in 2008, Richard Hughes' sculpture "Joyful Sorrow" takes the form of a partially deflated white balloon with a snowman-style face painted on, featuring a carrot for a nose. A pristine example of this uncommon, unnumbered artist's multiple SIGNED AND DATED "R. Hughes, MOMART 2008" on the rear of the piece in the mold in the publisher's zip-lock plastic bag along with Momart's accompanying two-page printed documentation, as issued. Signed and Dated by the Artist. Artist's Multiple. Bookseller Inventory # 023999
