First Edition. First Edition. Minor handling wear with a few areas of faint creasing and toning along edges. Rolled. Near Fine. A clean example of this iconic parody poster featuring comedian and political activist Dick Gregory as NEEDED, rather than WANTED. The poster was printed after Gregory?s failed write-in campaign for President of the United Stated in 1968 with the Freedom and Peace Party. Gregory originally aimed to be the Peace and Freedom Party?s nominee, although they ended up selecting Eldridge Cleaver as their candidate. Undeterred, Gregory continued his campaign, part comical, part protest, even receiving more votes than Cleaver.
