Another student has pencilled instructions to return the book although her spelling and handwriting is challenging to decipher. Hinge line exposed pages 128/129, a few light pencil marks, otherwise text is fine. Boards have rubbing to edges and along spine. It is likely this copy was used in Cole Grammar School (1885-1926) , in West Oakland whose alumni include Jack London.
