Chicken Soup and Pierre are paginated; the other two are not. The box is holding up with scuffs and one small tear. We made dust jackets for this set from our first edition set. The previous owner, little Ransom, has his name on the pastedown endpapers. He even illustrated the free endpaper in "One Was Johnny" and attempted to write his name on the front boards. A charming intact set.

This is one of the books in the Nutshell Library. Maurice Sendak received the 1964 Caldecott Medal for Where the Wild Things Are and is the creator of such classics as In the Night Kitchen, Outside Over There, Higglety Pigglety Pop!, and Nutshell Library.

CHICKEN SOUP has a light colored band along the top and bottom of the front panel of the jacket and to the bottom edge of the spine panel. Apparently this is a printing state. Contents: Pierre, Chicken Soup with Rice , Alligators All Around and One was Johnny. Overall Very Good copies in jackets with wear and scuffing in a somewhat roughened up slipcase.

Slipcase lightly rubbed edges and perhaps a little toned top edge A few mild spots of rub and bump to DJ spine edges. Books are stiffly bound; NF in VG+ dust jackets and slipcase.

The record is fine in near fine sleeve with two extremely tiny tears along the upper edge. Book.
