Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 49th International Conference on Objects, Models, Components, Patterns, held in Zurich, Switzerland, in June 2011. The 19 revised full papers presented together with the abstracts of 2 invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 68 submissions. The papers discuss all aspects of object technology and related fields, in particular model-based development, component-based development, language implementation and patterns, in a holistic way. The conference has a strong practical bias, without losing sight of the importance of correctness and performance. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 49th International Conference on Objects, Models, Components, Patterns, held in Zurich, Switzerland, in June 2011. Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. It is a pleasure to present the proceedings of the 48th TOOLS Europe Conf- ence (TOOLS 2010) held in M' alaga, Spain. The conference continues to serve a broad object-oriented community with a technical program spanning theory and practice. The program was rounded out with keynotes by Oege De Moor, Ivar Jacobson and Bertrand Meyer, and a banquet speech by Jean Bzivin. The proceedings include 16 papers selected from 60 submissions. The papers were reviewed in a single-blind process with 4-7 reviews per paper. The Program Committee (PC) discussions followed Oscar Nierstrasz' Champion pattern. PC papers had additional reviews and were held at a higher standard. For the ?rst time this year, TOOLS had a PC meeting which combined in-person discussions and electronic presence. TOOLS owes is success to the e?orts of many. I would like to thank the authors for their submissions, the PC members and their subreviewers for their reviews, our General Chair Bertrand Meyer, Antonio Vallecillo for the overall organization; Richard van de Stadt for his invaluable help with Cyberchair, and Bertrand Meyer and Peter Muller . for hosting the PC meeting at the ETHZ.April 2010 Jan Vitek Organization The TOOLS 2010 conferences were organized by the Department of Computer Science of the University of M' alaga, in co-operation with the ETH, Zur . ich. Neuware -This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 46th International Conference on Objects, Components, Models and Patterns, TOOLS EUROPE 2008, held in Zurich, Switzerland, in June/July 2008. The 21 papers presented in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 58 submissions. TOOLS played a major role in the spread of object-oriented and component technologies. It has now broadened its scope beyond the original topics of object technology and component-based development to encompass all modern, practical approaches to software development. At the same time, TOOLS kept its traditional spirit of technical excellence, its acclaimed focus on practicality, its well-proven combination of theory and applications, and its reliance on the best experts from academia and industry.Springer Verlag GmbH, Tiergartenstr. 17, 69121 Heidelberg 424 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -For the past 20 years the TOOLS conferences have continuously spread new technologies in the world of object-orientation, component technology and so- ware engineering in general. They constitute a particularly important forum for software researchers and practitioners to present work that relies on producing tools. This year¿s TOOLS continued the tradition and presented a strong program thatincluded originalcontributionsin allmajor elds ofthe object-orientedp- adigm. As in TOOLS 2008, the concept of model occupied a considerable place; but other topics such as re ection, aspects, modelling languages, debugging, and virtual machines design were also strongly represented. While most conferences had a decrease in the number of submitted papers, TOOLS made the choice of quality and decided to lower its acceptance rate to 25%,asa xedmaximumannouncedin the Callfor Papers.Out of67submitted contributions, the reviewing process led to the selection of 17 as full papers. For the rst time, two short papers were also accepted for presentation at the conference.Springer Verlag GmbH, Tiergartenstr. 17, 69121 Heidelberg 384 pp. Englisch.
