Author's presentation copy, signed to the front free endpaper to one Elinor Brannon.In the original cloth binding.Loosely inserted to the work is a hand-typed review of the author's play 'The White Swan of Hellas', which is signed off by J. M. Gillette, an American sociologist who taught at the University of North Dakota at the same time as Hult. "This should bring you crowns of glory from competent critics." Also inserted is a newspaper clipping from the student-led newspaper The Dakota Student, which contains a review of the paly. It is uncredited, but it is possibly adapted from the hand-typed version.A collection of verses from Gottfried Hult, chiefly remembered for teaching Classical Languages at University of North Dakota from 1916 until his retirement in 1946. Includes works such as Selfhood, At Vesper, Love's Epiphany, To Father at Eighty and many more. In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Small white mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound.
