Auszug: Die Deutschen in Pabianice (deutsch Pabianitz, 1940 kurzzeitig Burgstadt) waren ein Teil der deutschen Minderheit in Polen. 1860 wohnten in Pabianice 1.425 Deutsche. Sie bildeten 29 % der Stadtbewohner. 1913 erreichte die Zahl der Deutschstämmigen in Pabianice 6.918 (14 % der Bevölkerung); 1921 aufgrund der Zerstörungen des Ersten Weltkrieges verzeichnete man nur 1.634 Einwohner (5,5 % der Bevölkerung), die sich als Deutsche angaben; dagegen stieg die Zahl der Deutschen bis 1931 auf 4.494 Personen (9,8 %).
