Weintraub; Tel-Aviv '63. Added cover title in Hebrew. Introduction by Reuven Berman; edited by Maritza Rosman. With 3 leaves containing title page, introduction, catalogue of the drawings; 10 drawings. Portraits on various dark shades of paper. Portfolio consists of illustrated paper over boards. "American born William Weintraub has become one of Israel's best known painters of Israeli people. Mr. Weintraub is a graduate of the Maryland Institute of Art. He studied under renowned teacher Jacques Maroger. As a volunteer in the US Merchant Marines in 1944, Weintraub found his subjects in his trips to Europe and the Mediterranean. After a brief internment in Cyprus, Weintraub arrived in Palestine to participate in the War of Liberation. Following a stint in the Israeli Merchant Navy, Weintraub settled in Tel Aviv in 1955 to give all his time to painting. He has held successful one-man shows and participated in group exhibits in Israel and abroad. " (RO Gallery biography) Subjects: Jewish portraits. Jewish artists.
