About this Item: Wien, Paul Zsolnay Verlag, 1948. Condition: Gut. W.-G. 571. Deutsche Erstausgabe. 267 (1) Seiten. Guter Zustand. - Graham Greene (* 2. Oktober 1904 in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, Großbritannien; † 3. April 1991 in Vevey, Schweiz; eigentlich Henry Graham Greene) war ein britischer Schriftsteller. . . Seller Inventory # 60084

About this Item: Athenaeum, Budapest, 1941. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good Indeed. First Edition. First edition in Hungarian of Greene's great novel. Remarkably, this translation by Soter Istvan was published in Budapest in 1941, just a few months after the UK first. It may well be the first foreign language edition to have appeared. At any rate, it was the first Greene title to be published in Hungarian, the next coming out only in 1953. Chocolate coloured vertically ribbed cloth with gilt spine lettering and publisher's colophon to front cover. A lovely, clean bright copy with front flap of dw loosely inserted. Excellent copy of a very scarce book. A must for any serious Greene completist. Seller Inventory # 2174
