About this Item: London Macmillan and Company Ltd., 1906. Pocket Classic Edition 2nd Printing. 11.2 x 17.4cm, blue full leather binding with 5 raised bands and gilt stamped titles and decorations to the spine. Yellow top edge, marbled endpapers xxx, 351[5]pp with 40 black and white illustrations including tissue-guarded frontispiece. There is some rubbing to the spine and edges of the boards with abrasion and loss of colour particularly on the raised bands and at the corners. Both front and rear panels have light surface scratching consistent with general use. Internally the book is clean and bright without name inscription or bookplate and only occasional spotting, mainly limited to the prelims and last couple of pages. All in all a desirable, good looking, Charles Brock illustrated edition of this, probably most enduring of Austen's works.
