Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Modern re-back, spine in brown cloth with gilt titling over marbled paper boards; all edges gilt .12mo, xiii, [1], 230, xvi [1]pp. All edges gilt. Engraved frontispiece portrait of the author. Errata page, list of subscribers and one page of publisher s adverts to rear. Prelims a little foxed, otherwise clean attractive copy. Thirlwall became Bishop of St David s and denounced this juvenile work, a work in after years so odious to the author that he destroyed every copy that he could obtain. (DNB).
