Horrifying, but constructive and, according to the publishe's blurb, will leave the reader 'with a vastly extended understanding of revolutionary China.' The dust jacket is intact but is chipped in places with a couple of very small closed tears (< 15 mm). Not visible externally, there is some staining from the book's red cloth boards onto the dj's inside; down the spine and rear cover (image). This has also left a slightly paler patch of red on the back board (image). The spine features bold gilt (gold) titles at the head and foot. Binding tight. Internally,hints of tanning at the page perimeters (especially near the top edge. pp. 319/8vo. The pages are unmarked, have a hint of tanning around the edges but are in very good condition and tightly bound. A couple of trivial knocks on the boards which are still square at all corners. Light shelf wear on the jacket with a very small nick at the top of the front panel of the jacket. No other chips or tears on the jacket. Mailed the same or next working day in a cardboard book box.
