Black slipcase has board exposed in a few spots along the fore edges and fore edge corners and a two inch exposure along the bottom of front joint, but the case is tight and strong. #957 of 1500. The 1844 translation revised and with an introduction by Ronald H. Boothroyd. Illustrated with the designs of Francesco Gonin commissioned by the author in 1840 and engraved for this edition by Bruno Bramanti. Signed by Bramanti and the printer, Giovanni Mardersteig on the colophon page.
