Otherwise the DJ only has very minor evidence of wear. There are 58 B/W photographs ( by Edward Perry) accompanying each example. There is also a detailed labelled diagram of a rapier. There are 4 appendices: weights, swordsmiths, bibliography and a list of selected museums. 74pp This book details the history and development of the rapier combining photographs with an explanatory text.
