About this Item: Naval Insitute, Baltimore, MD, 1917. Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 5th or later Edition. Rare small training guide for new recruits in the U.S. Navy. Used in parallel with the later Bluejackets Manual. Originally written by Lieut. E.L. Beach in 1903, this edition was prepared by Lt. Com. W.F. Fullam and revised by Lt. Com. G.G. Pegram before approval in August 1917. It served as a one-volume compendium of things the new sailor needed to learn with over 50 pages of illustrations.
