About this Item: National Geographic Society, Washington, DC, 1944. Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. WIth SUpplemental U.S.S.R. Map. Better than Very Good, About Near Fine. Washington, DC: The National Geographic Society,1944. The December,1944 issue, Volume LXXXVI, Number Six. Quarto, wraps, 128 numbered pages (i.e., pp 640-768 for the annual volume, as per the custom of the day, + no less than 32 pp. vintage ads, many in color. 160 pp. total.). Plenty of color photographs in NG by this time, as well as black and white. See summary of illustrations on cover scan. Very Good, in fact better than that, but not quite Near Fine - no salient flaws, but light dust top page edge, along spine, and small russet spots at front cover. Even the pages show no age-toning in any degree. A high grade example, hard to replace. Map is undamaged in any way. See all scans. In sealed protection, on premise, ready to ship. Inside is that new Soviet Russia map, as well as pieces on the New Road to Asia; Michigan Flights; Great Lakes & Great Industries; Jordan Geography; Red Cross Girl Overseas. Nice vintage Coca-Cola Christmas ad ad on the back cover, plenty of other vintage color ads inside, those being, somehow, always among my favorites offerings from NG. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box - not a bag. LNG3. Seller Inventory # 63253
