Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Text blocks clean. Red Mars has white edges, Blue Mars, as is common has light toning to edges, also binding slightly stressed at half title page. Green Mars has light toning, a couple of light bumps to the board edges, and a gift inscription to the front pastedown that is mostly hidden by the front flap. All volumes feel lightly read, with a little bowing at head of spine due to weight and size of text block. Books grade near fine. Jackets have bold colours to the panels and straight and clean with a little crimping to the edges and head of the spines. Red Mars has two score marks to the front panel and one to the spine, which in the fitted archival cover are virtually invisible. Green Mars jacket is price clipped. Blue Mars has a touch of sunning to the spine. Jackets grade very good. These books are fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Blue Mars, as is common with this title has light toning to edges, also binding slightly stressed at half title page. Green Mars has light toning and feint spotting to edges. All volumes feel lightly read, with a touch of bowing at head of spine due to weight of text block. Blue and green grade near fine. Jackets nice with bold colours to the panels and the spines, also straight and clean with a little edge wear. Red Mars has a paper repair on the verso at the foot of the rear joint, and corresponding colour repair on the recto. Blue Mars has a 2mm rub to the spine. Overall a solid set of books.
