About this Item: New York: Frederick A. Stokes Co., 1894. Hardcover. Condition: Good. Cloth-backed color pictorial boards. Folio. Unpaginated. Illustrated. A collection of prose and poetry by the prolific children's author illustrated with 6 full-page color plates by Edward Percy Moran. Moran was known for his genre scenes of children and rural life in Colonial America. He was the nephew of the famous Western artist, Thomas Moran. A good copy with some soiling and wear to the boards and some chipping to the cover edges. The spine has some wear at the tips. The text is good with some light soiling and wear. The color plates are in very good condition with some minor soiling. The frontis plate is split at the right side and starting to detach from the binding. Seller Inventory # 7981

About this Item: Frederick A Stokes. A good to very good oversized grey hardcover with full page paste-on picture to cover. Some wear to edges with spotting to cover. Some light soiling to interior but generally pages are very clean and illustrations are very bright. Frontis has a reading crease not affecting the image. Illustrated with 6 lovely chromolithographes by Moran as well as many other illustrations in text by Elizabeth Tucker. 1st edition 1894. Seller Inventory # 3I0062
