About this Item: J. B. Lippincott Company, Philadelphia, PA, 1868. Hard Cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Illustrations (illustrator). Abbotsford Edition. Maroon binding with gold colored devise in center of front. Same devise is blind stamped on rear. Cover edges have double impressed bands on all four sides. Spine has gold colored titles and decorative bands. Covers have some small marks on them. Gold tinted head edge. Spine has slight wear at head and sole edges. Slight sun/color fade to spine. Beveled edges on covers. Solid brown end papers. Slight bump to all four corners. Two tips are open. Inside fly has owner's name in ink. Pages at frontspiece and first title page have foxing. These two pages appear to be engraved on heavier stock. There is a waterstain at the sole/foredge corner of these two and all illustration pages. Second (detail) Title page on, are thinner. Pg 297/304 is unbound and laid in place loose. Very tip missing of inside frt fly. 629 pages total. This Vol. is one of seven which I have of the set of twelve.
