In recent years, the magazine has resumed its traditional mix of content. Good. Signed by author. Inscribed on half-title as 'from the Drapers'. Cover has some wear and soiling. About this Item: San Francisco, CA: Rolling Stone Magazine, 2010. Soft cover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. Signed. 95 pages. Published in 2010. Rare Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard/"True Blood" and Rolling Stone Magazine collectible item. A fine copy of the promotional material. The latter is an exact-size, 8 X 11 inch replica of the magazine cover, signed by Stephen Moyer. The promotional material had very limited distribution and is now rare. It is encased in its own protective plastic sleeve. Presents "True Blood". One of the most sensational magazine covers of all time in its promo souvenir version. The three leading stars of the most popular television series since "The Sopranos" on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. "Covered in gobs of blood, Anna Paquin, her Series and real-life fiance Stephen Moyer, and Alexander Skarsgard get completely naked" (Publisher's blurb). Like no other American Pop culture phenomenon, "True Blood" 's appeal has transcended national cultures - every local culture has a vibrant vampire lore, which is part of a larger mythology about the intimate connection between mortality and immortality, life and afterlife - by glorifying the sexual allure of vampirism as only Hollywood can. It is probably just a coincidence, but the cast of "True Blood" is genuinely international: American (Moyer), Canadian (Paquin), and Swedish (Skarsgard), among others. The Rolling Stone Issue became one of the magazine's Top Five bestselling issues of all time. Copies were snapped up and vanished from newsstands, bookstores, and online within days of the Issue's release. Considering that the show can be taped in the privacy of one's home or bought and collected on DVD (for repeated "rewinds" of the juiciest parts), the success of the Issue is amazing, a testament to the print medium's unique appeal. This is an absolute "must-have" collectible, not just memorabilia, item for "True Blood", Rolling Stone Magazine, and erotic photography collectors. This copy of the promotional material is an exact-size, 8 X 11 inch replica of the cover, and it is very boldly and beautifully signed in black pen-marker by Stephen Moyer. It is signed directly on the page itself, not on a tipped-in page. As far as we know, this is the only such signed copy available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright, a pristine beauty. A rare signed copy thus. Three of the sexiest and most beautiful actors of our time. A fine copy. (SEE ALSO COPY OF THE ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE WITH SIGNED COPY OF THE PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL IN OUR CATALOG). Signed by Author.
