Signed by the author. A history of this waterfront section of Guilford, Connecticut, with much on its colonial origins; land divisions and boundaries; British raids during the Revolution; maritime enterprises; quarries; profiles of notable families including the Bentons, Leetes and Spencers; hotels and its origins as a summer colony; and much more. The work is illustrated with numerous black & white photographs and maps. A very good copy with light wear to the cloth. This book is usually encountered in orange cloth but this copy has a gray binding. The text is very good and clean with some light foxing to the title page. The front and rear pastedowns have some residue where the jacket protector was once affixed at the flaps. The jacket is very good with minor wear. Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 9748
