In addition to reproducing numerous portraits and some landscapes by this Schenectady artist, the author has visually documented the various styles he used in signing his works as well. With a biographical essay and an essay on his working methods. William James Stillman, the journalist/artist, was a pupil of Sexton's. Includes a bibliography. Scarce.
