Hardcover. Condition: Very good. 1st. Bound in publisher's original aqua colored cloth boards with cover and spine stamped in silver. Former owner's name on front free end paper in upper right hand corner. The former owner has also indexed the entire book and has laid it in in the rear of the book.This seminal book in the American wilderness movement was published in the year following the author's death helping a neighbor fight a fire. Therefore, there is no such thing as a copy signed by the author. This book is becoming quite scarce in the first edition.
