Front and back are taped together along center of spine. Title is clear on cover but chipped and torn around edges. The book is bound in three-quarter leather that is bumped on edges and missing top quarter inch of spine. Orange book cloth panels. Color illustrations of extravagantly decorated tortes throughout. Pages are clean and tight. Binding is firm with strong, tight hinges. Protective tissue for sepia frontis of author has separated but is laid in. Text in three languages: German, English and Swedish.
