About this Item: Kristiania, N. W. Damm & Sons Forlag, n.d. [1919]., 1919. Original, presumably first edition. Illustrated wrappers. Oblong 8vo format. Cover and each right-hand page has a full-color illustration, left-hand pages are accompanying text. Spine bit worn, front cover with a few wrinkles, lower tip rubbed, contents good. Lisbeth Bergh (1861-1927) was a Norwegian artist and illustrator; she studied briefly in Paris with Puvis de Chavannes. The illustrations show life in a Norwegian village. Hardly any books of hers are on offer in the antiquarian market, even in Scandinavia. The 1919 date of this book is taken from the Norsk Kunstnerleksikon. Seller Inventory # 4470
