The somewhat soiled, red cloth covers are well attached, with slight fraying to the top of the spine and to the corners. The covers have good, unworn edges. There is a somewhat faint inked number on the spine, just under the title. iv, 212 tightly bound, but somewhat soiled pages. About this Item: Grosset & Dunlap, 1929. Hardcover. Condition: Good+. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 1929A-2 printing as per Carpentieri 7th ed, with all the correct points of identification. First edition second printing. Red cloth boards have a gray smudge (paint?) on each of front and rear covers and spine. Corners are bumped and worn at tips - 3 very slight and one worn more heavily. Spine ends are lightly worn and there is a vertical crease in the cloth. Front hinge is intact but rear has a split at bottom 3" though it's very firm. Binding is solid. Pages are generally clean, but with an occasional spot or smudge. Several near rear have brown marks tight along binding. No ownership markings. Overall condition is Good+. Seller Inventory # 000837
