Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 2nd Edition. 535 pages. Fine condition hardcover with the same condition dustjacket. This is the 2nd, expanded edition. Illustrated with line drawings and photographs. A classic in the world of the combat infantryman, fighting in Guadalcanal and Burma. As a young infantry officer, and a crack shot, George spent time with the marines and later with Merrill's Marauders. He has a critical eye for the truth in the operation of weapons and troops on both sides of the war. An excellent read.
