About this Item: Parke-Bernet Galleries, New York, 1954. Soft Cover. Condition: Very Good. Very nice catalog featuring pink and grey cover with strong graphic at face. Clean and tightly bound with no names or writing. Measures 6-1/4"x9-1/2" and contains 98 pages featuring 477 lots. Some photo illustration in black and white in addition to descriptions for each work. Sale was held January 26, 1954. Fine bindings were the order of the day, but collection also included illustrated art books of merit. Includes a letter from the Cousin of Sir Francis Rose, addressed to Dunn-Meynell, which informs of the author's death. A small portion of the spine foot is discoloured. Edgewear and sunning to the jacket, which is lightly marked and a little foxed on the front. The spine foot has a portion chipped, plus a smaller amount on the spine head and front leading corners. A few further tears and nicks to the edges of the jacket, which is fitted with a clear plastic sleeve. Foxing to the page block, pastedowns and endpapers. Ex Libris bookplate on the front pastedown. This also includes another 4 page ephemeria item from the Passedoit Gallery dated Nov 8-30, 1949. This second item is also an exhibit of Francis Rose paintings. Signed by Julian Sawyer on the title page. The final item is a third exhibit pamphlet from Apirl-14 through May 3rd, 1947.
