A very good+ copy in a good+ dust jacket. Although the book's copyright page is dated 1945, this copy does not have a publisher's imprint on either the title nor copyright pages in contrast to the Library of Congress catalog which specifies a stated Doubleday, Doran and Company "First edition" imprint. Nor is there a price upon the dj's front flap. It seems likely that the book was reprinted (i.e. self-published) by the author likely for sales at her performances. Autobiography of Jewish singer and comedian Sophie Tucker (1884-1966) who was an early star of Ziegfeld Follies and achieved greater fame with her minstrel and Yiddish performances with a strong repertoire of African American influenced music especially ragtime and blues songs.
