A souvenir program from a dinner given to honor the golden anniversary of David Sarnoff (Chairman of RCA) - commemorating his fifty years of service to radio, television, and electronics. It was held on September 30, 1956 at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel In New York City. Includes remarks made by top executives of RCA, as well as facsimile letters and telegrams from important personalities and many politicians (from the President on down). Finally, also included were the texts of editorials that were published in some of the top newspapers of the day, that honored this giant in his many fields. Illustrated with vintage b/w photographs highlighting some of the inventions that the David Sarnoff Research Center in Princeton, NJ developed in the past five years (electronic light amplifier, electronic amplifying flouroscope, noiseless refrigerator, air conditioning panels). The front cover features a color photograph of the Brigadier General in color. Measures 7" x 10" with 84 pages.
