No binding. Condition: Good. Occasional poem for mayor of Amsterdam, Henrik Hooft. Signed by Batavus. No binding, Octavo edition, 21,5 x 13 cm. Collation: [A]4Copy with frayes, especially at the bottom.[NL] Hendrick Hooft (1716-1794) was een Amsterdamse regent die in 1769 burgemeester van Amsterdam werd.

No binding. Condition: Very Good. Extracts dated 25 and 30 June 1749 from the interrogations of Jan Adriaansz. van den Bogaart, a 30-year-old broker from Amsterdam. He was accused of having stated on 16 June, in the tavern De Papegaaitjes on the Pijpemarkt, in the company of a certain Hendriks from the Elandstraat and a paint dealer named Tichelaar, that the Stadholder "was nothing" and that the burgomasters were the true "sovereigns of the land." He allegedly also read aloud a poem on the peace by Laurens Hoen and claimed to have 8,000 supporters for Mr. Corver, further making a coarse remark about Princess Carolina. During his examinations he denied almost all of these statements. The extracts come from the confession book, the official register in which statements and confessions taken during criminal proceedings were recorded. No binding, Octavo edition, in -8. Knuttel 18232. Confessieboek is officiele register waarin tijdens strafprocessen afgelegde bekentenissen en verklaringen werden vastgelegd.
