About this Item: Epstein & Carroll, New York, U.S.A., 1961. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 1961 Epstein & Carroll FIRST EDITION ( distributed by Random House) **SIGNED** directly on the title page by both JUSTER & FEIFFER. A solid copy in VG+/G condition. The deep blue boards with white lettering and illustrations have the merest of wear at the corners and spine ends. Inside the book there is only a very faint inscription at the top of the map page. The unclipped DJ shows a price of $ 3.95 crossed out and penned $ 3.19. I think this is a second state DJ with 5 brief reviews on the rear cover. There is some loss of color along the right edge of the front, some dirt on the rear and chips of color loss but overall a GOOD bright DJ! EXCEEDNGLY RARE WITH BOTH SIGNATURES! **BONUS** Also receive the very charming First Edition of the Dot and the Line 1963 Random House in VG/VG condition. Signed by Author(s). Book. About this Item: Epstein & Carroll, New York, 1961. First edition of this modern classic. Octavo, original blue cloth, cartographic endpapers, illustrated by Jules Feiffer. Signed by both Norton Juster and illustrator, Jules Feiffer on the title page. Fine in a near fine dust jacket with some professional restoration to the extremities. Desirable signed by both Juster and Feiffer. "This book has been described by Naomi Lewis as the best original modern book in the Carroll line " (Carpenter & Prichard, 409). Anyone with an appreciation for the language and irony of Alice in Wonderland will consider this witty adventure a classic. The novel begins with a miserably bored lad who exclaims that "there is nothing for me to do, nowhere I'd care to go, and hardly anything worth seeing." Suddenly a tollbooth appears in his room, and, having no other interests, the lad Milo drives through it and sets off in his toy car for a mythic journey. Seller Inventory # 10014
