Turner. (illustrator). `A New Edition`. c.1880. Good. Contemporaneous binding of full midnight blue calf. Rebacked (though only apparent on close inspection). Gilt embossed school crest to upper board, five raised bands, tile and gilt lettering and tooling to spine. Light edge-wear. Marbled endpapers. Hinges reinforced with colour matched bookbinders cloth tape. Prize inscription neatly penned to flyleaf. A touch of foxing to first few leaves. All edges gilt. Seller Inventory # 007525

Dublin binding (Hodges Foster & Co., but unsigned) in contemporary green morocco to a panel design with blind and gilt tooling enclosing the arms of T.C.D. on both covers. Spine divided into six compartments by five raised bands, with the title in gilt on the second, the remainder identically tooled to a floral design.
