About this Item: Picador, 2006. Soft cover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, first printing. UNCORRECTED PROOF COPY. SIGNED by Cormac McCarthy via the authorised, official Picador bookplate affixed to title-page. Bookplate measures 4" x 3", twin ruled in black, as issued. A small number of these bookplates were supplied by the author's UK agent at the time of publication in order for distribution to major book stores. Released in advance of the first edition. The UK Picador was issued in a smaller print run, of which the proof run would have been smaller still. A very scarce format, in the original white publisher's softcover wrappers, as issued, dated November 2006. Given that McCarthy has said that he will not sign any copies of the book (apparently, there are some he specially reserved for his son, but these are not for sale), this is a shining example of the author's acclaimed masterpiece. The Picador proof is uncommon - this is the first signed example we have encountered. Recipient of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for fiction. A superbly well-preserved copy that is at least Fine throughout. Offered by D B WATERS RARE BOOKS: Professional, full-time booksellers of fine, select 1st editions, established in 1998.
