Item Description: UK. Pictorial Cover. Book Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. Signed. The rarest and single most sought after signed Harry Potter book in the world today, the extremely rare DELUXE edition of Harry Potter, The Tales Of Beedle The Bard. This book in its own right is hugely desirable being an identical replica of the original hand written J K Rowling multi million pound manuscript. The edition is lavish in its content with jewel encrusted binding lush velvet case and large Hogwarts library replica outer box with various drawings etc. This deluxe book had no major press release and a very small print run. There was no author signing event. To find a signed edition of this book is incredibly rare. This is the only J K Rowling signed edition of the DELUXE Beedle The Bard we have ever seen. This edition was given by the author directly to the recipient. It therefore features the author's personal security named hologram within the book. She has signed the book "To Jason, With Love From J K Rowling x". This edition is accompanied by an original letter from the author's PA detailing the sending of the book along with full rareandsigned authentification. This book is a true one off in every sense. Far rarer than the first Harry Potter book as so few of these have ever surfaced signed by J K Rowling. An exquisite book for a very special collection. Email for full images and details. A wonderful authentic Harry Potter signed First Edition. Signed by J K Rowling autograph. UK DELUXE edition of The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J K ROWLING SIGNED Edition. UK original First Edition UK Hardback Deluxe in lavish sash and jewelled binding SIGNED BY J K ROWLING TO THE TITLE PAGE. With the author's personal large "J K ROWLING" square hologram for security attached to book. In December 2007, J K Rowling unveiled The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a very special book of five fairy tales illustrated by the bard herself, embellished with silver ornaments and mounted moonstones. This handwritten book was given to her closet 7 friends and associates. The book was eventually given a release in hardback format to the public on 4 December 2008. Published in the United Kingdom by Bloomsbury. This is the exact replica in deluxe form. SIGNED in pen by J K Rowling to the title page as shown. These are rarer to find than any other Harry Book in the world. These were given only by the author in exceptional cases. This one is accompanied by all original paperwork including a letter from J K Rowling's PA Fiddy Henderson. True First Edition Deluxe Edition of that first pressing book. SIGNED BY J K ROWLING to the dedication page as shown. The book contains the full original print line indicating a true first printing. A very rare UK First Edition Harry Potter book to find signed by the author. As no official launch or signing was held for this book, it is incredibly difficult to find a signed edition. This book was signed by the author in pen clearly to the page as shown in our image. Offered here in excellent unread condition as new. J K Rowling has signed her name clearly to the page and signed "with love" and "x". The Tales Of Beedle The Bard is a great Harry Potter book. Offering the trademark wit and imagination familiar to J K Rowling's legions of readers--as well as Aesop's wisdom and the occasional darkness of the Brothers Grimm--each of these five tales reveals a lesson befitting children and parents alike: the strength gained with a trusted friendship, the redemptive power of love, and the true magic that exists in the hearts of all of us. J K Rowling's new introduction also comments on the personal lessons she has taken from the Tales, noting that the characters in Beedle's collection "take their fates into their own hands, rather than taking a prolonged nap or waiting for someone to return a lost shoe," and "that magic causes as much trouble as it cures." But the true jewel of this edition is the enlightening and comprehensive commentary (including extensive footnotes!) by Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, who. Signed by Author. Item Description: Children's High Level Group, London, 2008. Book Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First edition. A lovely copy of the deluxe edition, in the velvet bag and large clamshell box. With the extra suite of 10 plates and still retaining the original white sleeve on which is written "This Side Up." Signed by the author on the half-title with her security hologram. After the success of the Harry Potter series, Rowling created this spin-off work of short stories, including "The Tale of the Three Brothers" which figures prominently in the plot of "The Deathly Hallows" as well as four other short tales. The author originally created seven handwritten manuscripts in 2007 as gifts for the people associated with the series, auctioning one off for charity (it brought 1.95 million pounds). The following year it was published and released in this edition and in a regular trade edition. However, unlike previous releases, there was only one signing event for this book, at the National Library of Scotland for a group of around 200 children, ages 8 - 11, selected through a lottery. Fine in Fine dust jacket. Bookseller Inventory # 1778

J K Rowling has signed her name clearly to the page and not dedicated this book to anyone. But the true jewel of this edition is the enlightening and comprehensive commentary (including extensive footnotes!) by Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, who brings his unique wizard's-eye perspective to the collection. Discovered "among the many papers which Dumbledore left in his will to the Hogwarts Archives," the venerable wizard's ruminations on the Tales allow today's readers to place them in the context of 16th century Muggle society, even allowing that "Beedle was somewhat out of step with his times in preaching a message of brotherly love for Muggles" during the era of witch hunts that would eventually drive the wizarding community into self-imposed exile. In fact, versions of the same stories told in wizarding households would shock many for their uncharitable treatment of their Muggle characters. Professor Dumbledore also includes fascinating historical backstory, including tidbits such as the history and pursuit of magic wands, a brief comment on the Dark Arts and its practitioners, and the struggles with censorship that eventually led "a certain Beatrix Bloxam" to cleanse the Tales of "much of the darker themes that she found distasteful," forever altering the meaning of the stories for their Muggle audience. Dumbledore also allows us a glimpse of his personal relationship to the Tales, remarking that it was through "Babbity Rabbity and Her Cackling Stump" that "many of us [wizards] first discovered that magic could not bring back the dead." Both a wise and delightful addition to the Harry Potter canon, this new translation of The Tales of Beedle the Bard is all that fans could hope for and more--and an essential volume for the libraries of Muggles, wizards, and witches, both young and old. It has a raised hub spine and a superb series of indented designs. On a bookshelf it will look like a very important book indeed! BUT - it goes on, and gets more and more wondrous and wizardly. This 'book' is in fact a large box, which opens up to reveal a two compartment velvet lined interior. In a pocket on the left is a portfolio of ten drawings by J. K. Rowling's handwritten introduction, as well as 10 additional illustrations not found in the Standard Edition or the original. Opening the case reveals a velvet bag embroidered with J.K. Rowling s signature, in which sits the piece de resistance: your very own copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, complete with metal skull, corners, and clasp; replica gemstones; and emerald ribbon. As a special gift for fans, the Collector's edition also includes a set of 10 ready-for-framing prints of J.K. Rowling's illustrations, enclosed in a velvet-lined pocket in the lid of the outer case. Offering the trademark wit and imagination familiar to Rowling's legions of readers--as well as Aesop's wisdom and the occasional darkness of the Brothers Grimm--each of these five tales reveals a lesson befitting children and parents alike: the strength gained with a trusted friendship, the redemptive power of love, and the true magic that exists in the hearts of all of us. Item Description: Harvill Decker, London, 2008. Varied. Book Condition: Fine. First Edition, First Printing. A delightful First Edition, First Printing of this collectible edition!! This special edition quickly sold out when first published in December 2008. At first glance you see an oversized, ornate wizard textbook with gilt titling across spine and faux gold gilt page edges. The "textbook" is in near fine condition, save for very minor rubbing at outer corners and a spot of rubbing at spine end, all extremely minor. Upon opening the "textbook" one finds, sitting within a velvet enclosure and hidden in a red velvet pouch with Rowling's signature embroidered in gold thread, a very special copy of Tales of the Beedle the Bard. Translated by Hermione Granger ("from the original runes") with notes by Professor Albus Dumbledore, this book is in fine, unread condition with ornate, metal like decorations on front panel encrusted with jewels. Complete with a latch holding the book closed tight and a bound in bookmark. Tightly bound and a fine crisp clean interior throughout. A very substantial book for its size! Tucked away in a hidden pocket are 10 collector's edition prints, all in fine condition and suitable for framing. The prints are enclosed in a fine folder with parchment-like effect. These collector's edition prints are not found in the standard or original copy of the book. Comes in a white sleeve that protects the "textbook", near fine but for some rubbing and discoloration. A whimsical and gorgeous copy that will delight; without a doubt a must have for any Harry Potter fan!. Bookseller Inventory # 3693
